On the morning of December 16th, the lecture series jointly organized by our university andl Institute of Informatics and Business Darmajaya of Indonisa was held online. Vice President Dai Shiming, Alfian,Dean of Institute of Informatics and Business Darmajaya and relevant responsible persons of our university form the School of International Cooperation Education and the School of Electronic and Information Engineering attended the opening ceremony.

At the opening ceremony, President Dai and Alfian, Dean of Institute of Informatics and Business Darmajaya of Indonesia, delivered speeches respectively. President Dai said that in 2015, our university signed a sister school agreement with the Institute of Informatics and Business Darmajaya of Indonesia, and in 2016, the Darmajaya - Nantong Vocational University China Center was opened in Institute of Informatics and Business Darmajaya, and teachers were regularly selected to go to the Darmajaya - Nantong Vocational University China Center to exchange professional knowledge, teach Chinese, spread Chinese culture, and root deep friendship. Today, the two universities overcame the impact of the epidemic and successfully met online, hoping to further deepen understanding, deepen friendship and gain knowledge. Alfian said that he was very grateful to Nantong Vocational University for providing teachers and students in Darmajaya with the opportunity to broaden their international horizons, and hoped that they would cherish the learning opportunities, got inspiration from this series of lectures, broaden their minds, and hoped that the exchange and learning between the two sides could contribute to the academic development of related fields.

The lecture attracted more than 500 teachers and students from both universities. Dodi Seth Awen, a teacher at Institute of Informatics and Business Darmajaya, gave a report entitled The Application of the Internet of Things in Smart Farms. He introduced in detail how to quickly perceive, stably transmit and accurately control farmland information through Internet of Things technology, which triggered in-depth thinking and heated discussions among teachers and students present on the development prospects of digital agriculture and agricultural Internet of Things. Dr. Shen Zhihua, a teacher at the School of Electronic and Information Engineering of our university, made a report entitled Introduction to EDA Tools in Electronic Engineering. EDA tools play a pivotal role in semiconductor chip design in cutting-edge areas such as artificial intelligence, virtual/augmented reality, smart cars, and the Internet of Things. Combined with his research and work experience, Dr. Shen elaborated on the importance and application scenarios of EDA tools in the semiconductor industry, which stimulated students' strong interest and enthusiasm for the semiconductor industry.

The lecture series consists of three lectures, the second and third lecture will be held on December 21 and December 23, respectively.

In the new stage of Belt and Road construction which has stepped from the concept to the depth and solidity, our university will continue to serve the national strategy as the guide, expand mutually beneficial cooperation with the "Belt and Road" countries in the field of education, strengthen the connotation construction while continuing to explore new models of foreign aid education and training, effectively export high-quality educational resources and experience standards of our university and continuously enhance our international influence, and help double high construction of our university.
